Kudos to Cillian

At Broken Glass Loft, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is only the most recent project of Cillian Murphy that we’ve known and loved. Our first encounter with Murphy was in 28 Days Later, only a taste of the serious and gritty roles Murphy has tackled over his career. Nolan’s directorial vision, combined with Murphy’s raw talent and screen presence over the course of their six projects together has only served to solidify Murphy’s stardom in the public eye.

Of course, Peaky Blinders will always have the most special place in our heart.

Murphy’s performance over Peaky Blinders’ six seasons between 2013 and 2022 is what impresses, permanently. In our stained glass window we conveyed the determined and authoritative presence that is Thomas Shelby. We took special care to faithfully render Murphy’s angular face. That arresting face embodies the tension of restraint and control and the possibility of violence.

This award season has only left us with one question for the Academy: What took you so long?
